The BB rifle program is intended for 8-12 year olds. The BB rifles used have an upgraded barrel and target sight which increases accuracy. The youth shoot at a distance of 5 meters at the NRA BB Gun target. All 4 positions are taught (prone, sitting, kneeling, and standing). In the process of practicing, the shooters earn NRA Qualification patches and awards for BB gun. There are also opportunities to enter monthly matches for free.
Practices start September 9, 2023, and are held weekly on Mondays 4:30-5:55 and 6:00-7:30 and Tuesdays at 9:00am at the Alexandria Bay Legion. There is a $10 registration fee per child.
